Default RE: Edge 540 H9 or Dave Patrick

The model is well done and plenty strong for a 40 gasser but weight is 15 lbs - Batteries all forward the tube.
Still -the model has the classic tail heavy overrotation on low speed snaps.
I guess I am spoiled by lighter wing loadings, having done larger models with same engine at under 12 lbs (scratch built stuff).
It really is a nice model and ideally -if it had a lighter wing loading it would be a a great gas powered setup. This one is under 30 -by a little
The power to weight at 15 with the zdz40 is excellent.
It is just better at lower weight -better wing loading .say 26 oz ft.
I also did a H9 Edge with a 40 ZDZ- 14 lbs and higher wing loadings- this onewould snap on sharp elevator commands.
again, due wing loading over the top. (32)
