The wires will fit just fine, I used one for a while (ended up breaking, sent it back to Tower, who sent me a Hobbico one for replacement o.O). Works nice. Considering a AA battery is 1.5v, 4x that is 6v. They say to use Nicads, but regular alkaline AA's will work fine, in my experience.
