Actually, ,I am using Sig Koverall, so I will paint it white first, then mask, and paint white again to seal the tape. I have found that works best to prevent the paint from bleeding under the tape.
I know it is a little heavier, but I have heard it is a good idea to glass the belly pan since it tends to get alot of abuse from handling andthose odd ocassions of driving through tall grass/weeds etc.
Mine will weigh a little heavier than yours I'm sure, but then I am not looking for 3D either. Just some decent aerobatics is good enough for me.
I also built up my cabane struts to give them a little beefier look.
Installing radio dear and onboard glow driver now. Will be getting an engine soon, then covering. Still a ways off, but so is summer.
