Exactly what technique did you use to paint your PRO? Exactly what kind of covering did you use? And, what kind of paint did you use as well? I assume you covered it white, then masked and painted over it with red? What kind of masking tape did you use? I was thinking of getting some good stuff from the auto paint shop.

Hey guys I forgot to mention the thrust angle issue with the C-Pro. Mine was built by someone else and I picked it up at one of the local club auctions. The plane had been through a few hands, I turned out to be the fith owner, and was never finished or flown. Needless to say I didn't have any say in the building of the plane so all I did was recover it and stuff in the gear and engine.
The initial flight was pretty exciting since the plane wanted to climb lkie crazy and turns were all goofy needing a LOT of rudder. I was puzzled and took the plane home and put my Robart incidence meter on it and lo and behold....
The plane has 3 degrees of UP thrust with the horizontal stab set propped up to get zero! I had shimmed in 2 degrees of right thrust when I mounted the engine. A quick check of the firewall with a carpenters square showed that it was perpendicular to the fuse sides and top. The plans show that the firewall is basically square to the front of the plane so I thought I was ok. Apparently the horizontal stab was off on mine but like I said I didn't build the plane.
Before flying thse planes do yourselves a favor and at least prop up the tail and check the engine for up or down thrust. Trust me on this, you DON'T want any up thrust with this plane!
Hope this can be of some help.

I know......
Being as you can't use a incidence meter on the wing....you're supposed to measure the front and then the back of the wing to get it right.....I must have missed it.....(did use a meter on the elevator)...had to shim up the back of the wing to get it to fly level with out down elevator.
Kinda like flying it with air brakes on all the time...
Don't forget differential in the arelons..that's a must have...to get it to turn smooth.

I painted Red over White (Lusterkote), used cheap masking tape, and regretted it. I will make sure I follow the directions on the can to the letter next time as well.
The checkerboard is Ultrakote, everything else is monokote. (Dark Red, White, Black)
The belly pan was the most difficult to cover, I'm still considering redoing it in two peices.
This project will have taken over 3 years to complete. My wife got the kit for me as a christmas present back in 2001. I got the engine for christmas in 2002. Everything else about a year ago; and finally found the time to finish it this year.

Actually, ,I am using Sig Koverall, so I will paint it white first, then mask, and paint white again to seal the tape. I have found that works best to prevent the paint from bleeding under the tape.
I know it is a little heavier, but I have heard it is a good idea to glass the belly pan since it tends to get alot of abuse from handling andthose odd ocassions of driving through tall grass/weeds etc.
Mine will weigh a little heavier than yours I'm sure, but then I am not looking for 3D either. Just some decent aerobatics is good enough for me.
I also built up my cabane struts to give them a little beefier look.
Installing radio dear and onboard glow driver now. Will be getting an engine soon, then covering. Still a ways off, but so is summer.

It flies pretty well for a full figured gal. The aileron response was a lot better than I thought it would be.
