i dont use any oil on my steering (except bearings, i use royal oil for those). i wouldnt use oil on everything if i were you. you will get dirt inside the ball cups and it will wear the ball cups and ball studs. the only thing i ever lubercate on my truck is the bearings and engine(after run).
