Default RE: Best RC Jet Fields in Florida???

ORIGINAL: yeahbaby

don't know if there are any jet flyers in the Pensacola area but the flying fields out there are nice. I heard the Georgia boyz come down every once in a while. I'm sure they still have access to the OLFs (outlying fields) that the Navy uses for teaching the studs.

if you give me a few more years there will be atlest one jet flyer out there.

Got Jet A?

I am currently about 5 miles from the best (IMO) flying field in NW Florida, if not all of Florida. It is an Outlying Field (OLF) from Whiting Field NAS. The field is actually in Pace, Florida. The field is a mile on each side (square mile?) and has runways facing 8 directions so you can situate the flying area based on wind direction and location of the sun. We don't get a whole lot of jets, but they do fly there and are certainly welcome.

The club with jurisdiction is Northwest Florida Modelers. www.nfmi.org . Look me up, I'm there every weekend.
