Yep your right! My rechargables are 1.2v. I can tell you that going from 6.0v down to 4.8 I have noticed only that my batteries last longer, My steering is much quicker. I have an ofna fail safe and if I run normal alkaline batteries it will say that my voltage is weak even at 6v. But with my rechargables it say's everything is fine. There must be something more to this. Good luck with whatever you go with I'm sure it will work out fine.
