I'm not so nuts about actually touching the tail. But I'd love a game of "How low can you go?"
I forgot to mention that I did get a bit of a harrier at about 50' up. I was about 1/2 throttle or maybe a bit less and had full up elevator and the nose was high at about a 35 D angle. I drug it along like that for about 100'.
I just did a search about the #9 rule. I don't see myself becoming concerned with it. I do fly at an AMA chartered club, but I just don't see the need to actrually touch the tail. Maybe later, but for now, I'll practice at 75' up.
Can't wait to get out and practice again. My plane flew forever at 1/3 throttle with short bursts for hovering. 300cc tank lasted over 20 minutes with the TH .75 engine.
