May worth considering the Koyosho Spitfire 40, it was my first warbird and still going strong, and easy to build, good looks, very easy to fly no tendancy to tip stall on landing and take a 40-46 engine, ive used the standard muffler but u could allways use a pitts style if u wanted it more scale. Comes with instructions for retracts etc so it May be worth a look..........
