Hey guys,
So far you guys have gave me so much information from your posts. I need to ask a favor from you guys. I am looking to build a 40 or 60 size warplane. A 40 is prefered but whatever fits my needs will be what I build. I want to build a plane with good historical value. I want a kit that has alot of accessories that I could add to the scale like retracts, cockpit, drop tanks, bombs, etc. Could you tell me your choice and give me a breif explanation why you would choose this plane. Pics would help alot too. You can show off your work and help at the same time.(win-win situation
). Any help would be appreciated.
SO, SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!!!!!
thanks,
Bradford Ware

Hi,
May worth considering the Koyosho Spitfire 40, it was my first warbird and still going strong, and easy to build, good looks, very easy to fly no tendancy to tip stall on landing and take a 40-46 engine, ive used the standard muffler but u could allways use a pitts style if u wanted it more scale. Comes with instructions for retracts etc so it May be worth a look..........

I've built/building two tf gold edition warbirds. The p51 and now the p39. Nice kits but if I wanted a little smaller one I'd go with the skyshark models. They are lazer cut and seem to be really nice looking kits. More can be seen at

Good luck,

I built a top flight Spitfire as my first kit before I even started to fly (I did buy a trainer ARF to learn on) Having absolutely no R/C building experience (I used to build control line profiles when I was a kid) The top flite was written well enough to allow me to finish the bird without to much problem. I will say that the spit built very tail heavy and I needed a 120 engine to balance the CG. This is common even with experienced builders[img][/img]

Skyshark, Look good build easily and fly great. Check here there are lots of threads about these kits. All favorable reports. And pruduct support is phenominal.
