have had a problem with installation but this seems to be with certain cd-rom having problems with the protection scheme they use to prevent the cd from being copied and not a problem with windows xp.
Correct. All of the disks except for add-on #4 worked fine in my CD/DVD drive. Addon #4, I had to install from my DVD burner, but when I loaded the program and it asked for the disk to be inserted, it would not let me put it in the DVD burner... I literally had to remap my drives to get the burner onto a drive that it liked.
My buddy had the same problem with one of the other add-on disks under 98... except he had only one CD drive, but it was drive E and RF wanted the CD to be in drive D.
Stupid.
