Is there a way to check the compression on these motors or is it pretty noticable if the sleeve is messed up? Also, what might cause the fuel to go through the vacum tube from the tank to the pipe?

for the fuel going to the vaccum tube, it is running to rich. I have had the same problems w/ my Overdrive ST, I set my carb setting back to stock, and then changed the glow plug, and the battery in the ignitor. When it started, I would adjust the carb settings to where it was running fine again.
The only time that fuel was spitting out of the pipe and going up the vaccum tube was when I was breaking in my truck.
