If I put the CJ retracts it will only be 9 servos and 1 mini servo for the valve.

Going Vert, thanks for the link for the equalizer. Thats probably the route I'll take. Its a little less than the JR matchbox

This is a classic example of what radio you should buy when starting out in this hobby. 3 years ago I bought the 7 channel and now I wish I had purchased the 8 or 9 channel. If you plan on growing in this hobby go ahead and take the plunge in the beginning for a radio you can grow into!!
Well.. a bit of yes and no on the radio for beginners...

This is why I advise beginners to start with a Basic 4-channel (the airborne components cost almost as much as the whole system... the TX is almost disposable)

Then after you have gotten somewhere and start needing that 5th channel... buy the best the market has to offer (if youcan afford it) The old system stays in one of your lesser planes... the good system is uded for the better aircraft. (and if someone is flying on the frequency of the better plane... you can take the old beater up and wring it out. )
