Thanks for the info guys. The box that my homelite bandit saw came in says "ZipStart" on it. I assumed that this applied to the pull-start mechanism itself. If the trimmers have a compression release and an EGR port then how about the saws ?

One RCU member says his 33cc homelite has no port so I'm not going to tear mine apart to look. I've ruled out any special ignition module or flywheel mods.


Apparantly the ZipStart is a special pull start feature that applies to all homelite trimmers and saws.

Thats good enough for me.
