Default RE: Setup of Ergo 46

The Ergo 46 has a standard set up (not ccpm). Most collective pitch helis have the same basic setup. Your manual should tell you the length of your ball links and rods. You bought it used so it is probably already setup, but it is still a good idea to check everything. What do you have for a radio? Did you get a pitch gauge with it? If you didn't, you will have to buy one (you will need it). For a beginner, your pitch should be about -3 on the bottom +5 at half stick and +10 on the top (for normal mode). You won't have to worry about idle up right now. The best thing you can do, is find someone that knows about helis to have a look at it and make sure everything is setup right, it will save you alot of time and money. Even if you have to drive for 3 hours, it's well worth it. There is nothing harder to do, then trying to fly a heli that is not setup right.
