Kevin,
I would guess it's easier to land with the DA because you have more nose wieght. While this may be good for landing some of the other flight charecteristics might suffer. The next mod I would suggest would be to switch to a 16 oz. tank ( I prefer the Hayes) as you don't need the extra fuel and wieght. Additionally, I would mount the tank over the wing tube and then re-CG the whole plane to make sure it balances within range.

On another note, I flew Patty in my first IMAC meet, well actually SCAT here in SoCal, and placed third in Basic. I should have done better but the guy flying Sportman that lost it and buzzed me during one of my rounds threw off my concentration and cost me a couple of zeros. That's the excuse I'm going with! Anyway, Patty got a ton of compliments at the meet and next time I promise to do her justice with a higher finish.
