I need help with two issues.

First would be that I have the old cardboard wing tubes and the fit is very tight, what is the best way to remedy this?
Second is, I really want to build some redundancy into this plane so it would be great to run two batteries and switch gear.
Do you just plug them into the receiver independently or parallel?
