Hello again,

I had three flights today and all of them were rough landings, even while I was doing pattern work on the second flight. It seemed easier to fly and land yesterday. The only thing that I could see that was different was there was more gusty wind. I really never minded moderate wind.

During the third flight, a guy at our field ripped the wing off of a big H9 Sukhoi while doing a radical maneuver directly in front of me. The crash rattled me so I brought her in. Another rough landing. Very unstable and wouldn't settle at a normal landing speed.

While taking it apart for transport home, I noticed that the fuel tank rubber band was missing and the tank had slid back about 4" to the wing tube. I was running at the back side of the CG before and a 3/4 tank of fuel moved back 4" is probably what was making it difficult.

I guess I am lucky that I didn't have more trouble than I did.
