RE: Best Engine for GP Christian Eagle?
I've got a st 3ooo ( the only fool with a glow) in my eagle and it flies great. mine also only weighs 15.5 lbs too ( thats with an on board glow driver). prop clearance with a g 62 shouldn't be a prob but expect to add some weight in the tail. with my 3000 and my home made glow driver it balanced perfect, so expect to add weight. there is a pitts at our field with a converted 45 and that flies off the wall so i'd hate to see a g 62 in one. i pinned the firewall with my little 3000 but if you want to take the chance and not pin it with a larger engine fly at your own risk. it only takes 10 minutes to drill the holes and glue the supplyed dowl in. i'd take the time. better safe then sorry. those are my two cents... later................... david
