Default RE: RE: RE: RE: Capiche 50

I'm on the home straight now! Bench ran 2 tanks through the YS on sunday and bolted it in tonight. Also set up the throttle linkage.I put the throttle servo in the top of the upper tray so will have to have the canopy removable for access. Cut the cowl to fit next.I have the later type cowl and will try leaving the rears of the cheeks closed with a large air exit at the bottom rear. What have you all done, or have most of you got the open cheek type? The YS ran really well on the bench considering it was very rich. Pick up was excellent but it wasn't half smoky. It was quite shocking the way it cut out when out of fuel though,(Archie nows this)seems to cut dead with almost a bang,no misfire or anything, on then off! I thought it had broke! but fired up fine once fuelled up.Is this a characteristic of YS's?
