RE: Global Raven 40
I've got one (still unbuilt) with the manual. It states the C of G is 3 1/2 inches back from the LE with a 1/4 inch margin either way. It states DO NOT go further back than 3 3/4 inches from the LE.
Saw one fly some years back with a Magnum .46 up front. It was quick, but I've seen quicker models since. (The new Ripmax Magnum for a start.)
I later spoke to another club member who has one, (he flies B747-400's for a living) and he put in more wing dihedral when building. His flew o.k., very quick control responses, (plenty of Exponential needed ) but not one for the novice.
He said to me ..."for goodness sake, FLY HIGH while your getting this one under your belt..."
