OK Thanks for the replies. I was going to make my own but found their website and thought it might be less hassle buying them.

So if you were to give a few hints on the construction of an access panel what would you tell someone? Any photos? What type of material for the base, ply? What kinda of support for strength?

Usually a couple small hardwood rails, a piece of plywood, and four wood screws is about all that is needed for a hatch.
