Default RE: Thunder Tiger .15GP?

Dntman,
SSC has exploded in ways the founders (including me) never imagined. The initial planes were HORs, and 400 square inch wings. We learned that more wing area was better and it is now common to see wing areas of 600 square inches up to 780. Why? Lower wing loading allows the planes to fly at zero angle of attack making them faster, easier to launch, and they fly much better.

The best SSC planes currently available from manufacturers are the SMACK from Lee Liddle, the Falcon ARTF from George Cleveland, the Mini Choker from Hat Trick Enterprises, and the Piranha from Down Home RC. If your tastes run to realistic semi-scale planes then check out Lee Liddle, Hat Trick, Lawless Combat and JKAerotech for a whole passle of nice looking very competitive SSC planes.

The magic number for wing loading is sub 12 ounces per square foot. Good luck.
