Dear Cajun,
I didn't compare Texans to Yankees. I said it is hard to tell which group is worst. I will stand next to you on the flight line so that I may taunt you not only with my flying but with multiple words of wisdom at the same time.
To answer the question about what is a bladder tank? It works like a ballon, you fill it up with fuel and the pressure force feeds the engine. A balloon does not have enough pressure so we use 1/8" or 1/4" id natural latex tubing to make a pressure system. Lots of info on www.texascombat.com about how to run them. They feed the engine all the fuel the engine can take, making the limit of performance the amount of air that can get into the engine.
DNTMAN, Cajun is right, we both fly pretty lousy but combat is about as much fun as a man can have in life with his pants on. But Cajun and I have both elevated the art of trash talking pre-contest to new all time highs.

It's generally agreed on that if the streamer is on the ground (or suspended in the weeds), the cut doesn't count.
However, it's still an open question as to weither a cut counts if the plane augers in, and someone cuts the streamer right as the plane hits the ground, but before the streamer settles on the ground. Personally, I think it should count, but others disagree with me on that one

I think if a guy has the "taters" to fly into the ground to get a streamer which is still attached to a plane he ought to get the points. When you need points as badly as some of us ,,,,,,you take them any way you can get them[>:].
Lou, I'm taking you up on the Paris deal. But be prepared for the words of wisdom to go both ways
For you to win you'd probably need me on one side and and Smack Daddy on the other

Guys I got my first streamer cut Sunday, what a rush. I actually wrapped the string that the streamer was tied to, around my prop and killed the engine. I will be talking smack for a while
Cajun,
Give me a call about sanctioning an event, our club has a buisy schedule this year so we would have to work the date around our events and NTRR.

Guys,
There is around 20 members of our club that has SCC H.O.R like the one you see on http://www.spadtothebone.com
I am building a couple of Gnat's found on the same page(Had all the parts).
What planes are you guys flying in SCC, is one better than the others?
What should you look for in an SCC plane?
How about the H.O.R.?
How about the Gnatt?
We have a good source for the SCC H.O.R.'s. we get them prebuilt perfectly, with pushrods allready installed for $35, replacement wings are $15, and replacement motor mounts are $1.50.
Min weight 2.5lb, min wing area 400sq-in, Prop MA 8x3, less then $60 .15 less than 17,500rpm. Besides these limitations are you free to do what ya want?

Dntman,
SSC has exploded in ways the founders (including me) never imagined. The initial planes were HORs, and 400 square inch wings. We learned that more wing area was better and it is now common to see wing areas of 600 square inches up to 780. Why? Lower wing loading allows the planes to fly at zero angle of attack making them faster, easier to launch, and they fly much better.
The best SSC planes currently available from manufacturers are the SMACK from Lee Liddle, the Falcon ARTF from George Cleveland, the Mini Choker from Hat Trick Enterprises, and the Piranha from Down Home RC. If your tastes run to realistic semi-scale planes then check out Lee Liddle, Hat Trick, Lawless Combat and JKAerotech for a whole passle of nice looking very competitive SSC planes.
The magic number for wing loading is sub 12 ounces per square foot. Good luck.
