Did you check the gap between the magnet and coil?? I've had the gap a little to much and got a weak spark.

OK - I'll ask a dumb question, but you not using the drill to turn this engine clockwise are you???? Doesn't it have to
turn counter-clock wise for the timing to be right to run????
