I just re read your post and there is an exception. My reply was based on the pilot figure being made of styrene plastic. ex- a Williams bros. pilot. If the pilot is made of latex you must use an acryllic latex paint. If enamel is used on a latex surface it will take forever to dry, and I do mean forever. [

] What I do in this case is I use an acrlyyic latex base coat (light grey) and allow that to dry 24-48 hrs. When that is completely dry I use enamels. Another way to handle it is to use all acryllic latex paint, but that means having all the colors in both enamel and latex.
