You are right WM: Your needle valve is acting a bit like a regulator. 100% propane sits about twice the pressure of the mix. Propane's 200+ psi might starting popping lines. Im more interested in regulation for use with smoke and such but see no reason why it could not be used to start any turbine if it is controlled a bit. Even with the JC you fill the start tank up full and usually get a pop when starting.
