Why should the electric guys have all the fun with foam?
I called it the Shock Nitro 540, because originally I was going to put the shocky style foam pieces on the side of the fuse, but I dropped that idea. This is the 2nd version of my foamy nitro powered plane. The [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Foam_Hots_%2D%2D_WITH_VIDEO/m_1451991/tm.htm]HOTS[/link] was my first.
Covering mostly done. Got the MDS 68 mounted. The 13x4 inch prop looks sweet!! I have the Kirby Chambliss decals printed and ready to go on. Maybe tomorrow night I can get them on, the gear on and the radio installed.
I really think I'm going to be able to keep this in the 5.5 to 5.75 pound range, which will be fun with a .68 for power. Even if I lose control and end up at about 6lbs, it is still gonna rock. Span is 50 inches. Length is 49.5 inches.
I hope to get it out this weekend and get some video.
