The Wanderer... Sig Riser, Goldberg's Gentle Lady and Great Planes' Spirt. ALL are excelent introductory 2 meter gliders that can give years of enjoyment.

(I have had at least one of each... I liked the Gentle Lady best and had at least 4 of them.)
Next step up that I had was a model by Robbe (which is discontinued and I can't remember the name of it.. [

]) 2.2 meter, sheeted foam core wings, ABS fuselage... a strong and FAST sailplane. (ripped the wing apart with excess High-start tension... tried doubling up the 3/8 inch surgical tube.

young and dumb.. trying and for a 1500 ft [X(]GLIDER HEIGHT[X(] launch on 2000 ft 90 lb fishing line. 500 ft of being drug through weeds with a snapped wing did it no good.

)'
I've forgotten most of the others I've had... And don't know the name of the one I have now. (bought framed up "in the bones"... fiberglas pod, aluminum boom, interchangeable wing panels for from 2 meter to 3 meter span. RES in any setup... 4 possible spans due to 2 lenghts of tip panels and 2 lengths of center panels.)
None of my sailplane kits cost over $80... (only paid full price on the Gentle Lady kits... the Robbe was 80% off list! Right when they discontinued it.)
