Default RE: Doddger Pics...

looks good Lee.

A couple things.

You should be able to peak that prop between 15,000 and 15,500 rpm with the O.S. FX. All you need to do to that engine is take the baffle out of the muffler. Leave the head and sleeve spacing alone, it does very little difference. I would suggest one of the following plugs in my order of preference: K&B HP, McCoy #9, K&B 1L. Keep the engine about 500 rpm off peak, with that prop, you need to keep it rich to allow it to unload in the air.

Are those aileron torque rods on the bottom side of the wing? If anything else, thats interesting.

Those look like alluminum wheels. If they are the wheels I'm thinking of, they are very heavy. There are some inexpensive "poker" style wheels available at www.lcsperformance.com or even better (still relatively inexpensive) pizza cutter style wheels their also.

I wouldn't get to worried about making changes to this plane, for now I would just focus on trying to fly the course.

If you are interested, I have Sonic 500 ARC that I've had for a few years. Not as fast as the vipers or predators, but a good plane to learn how to fly the course. Its got a ton of flights on it, and I think its survived a couple midairs. I'd sell it to you less receiver and engine for a very good price. I believe it has Hitec 225s on Elevator and Aileron (no rudder), and I can't remember whats on the throttle. I'd suggest replacing the battery, but otherwise, it should be good to go. I'll post a pic tonight if you want to see it.
