RE: Bought Ultra Stick
I got mine about two years ago. Built it as per instruction, four servos in the wings, set up by the book on throws used a 652 Jr Radio and origonally powered it with a Magnum 61 fourstroke. Climb rate was good, roll rate was excellent, Crow and flaps were extremely fun, basically a bullet proof plane. I changed the engine twice to two strokes (Super tigre 45 and MDS 58) even with flaps it took three times the distance to take off. The Magnum made it an excellent all around toy, I did change it one more time. The Saito 72 power it best of all, 2 foot roll out with flaps and 10 foot roll out without. With flaps it would take it into immediate hover about 5 feet off the ground with the Saito 72 powerplant and 13x6 prop. Kind of scarey when you don't expect the hover and it is floating back towards the pit fence. Crow is nice but it makes controlling the plane on landing very sluggish, I did use it loose lots of altitude but made my final touch down without it activated, also flaps made the plane float the entire run way at idle. Very neat trick but I still prefer to land without.
