Besides the OS (or instead of it) get an IRvine ... coolest looking engine and excelent quality.
REgarding the RCV, perhaps you're umlucky but that is not a beginners engine, it is radically different than either a 2 stroke which it si not albeit looks like one or a 4 stroke which it is and doesn't look like so perhaps that was an engine for your next plane (regardless of the bearing leakage)
