i just bought an xr works w/ the same engine...and then bought a hitec lynx 3d radio, servos, and starter box.
i would say that i have about $300 in the car and engine, 160 in the radio w/ receiver (and a synth module), $90 in servos, and $60 in the starter box.
the servos are hitec 625mg and 945mg. the starter is ofna universal.
i bought everything from ebay....
the car has been run, and some of the parts are a bit loose - i replaced the rear suspension arms (had a sh1te lode of parts laying around from other mbx's) and need to replace some more stuffs...(anyone have a good set of hinge pins??)
if you have never run the car, you could probably get well over $600+ for the package on ebay. take a look at some of the completed auctions to see what they are selling for. the less beat the car is, the better you will do obviously.

btw - you are from dayton? have you been to the indoor dirt track there?? i stopped and checked it out when i was at training at the motoman facility... that is a killer track... wish i lived closer!
