Yes, you certainly get more power. I don't recall the exact number but +1000 rpm is not crazy.

You also get more noise and the unpleasant crackle of an unbaffled two stroke exhaust. You win some you lose some. A quiet pipe is better, though more $$$, alternative IMO.
