Default RE: Annoying Newbie

I always tell newbies that the most dangerous part
of their flying career is "the time between arrogance,
and humility." ... been there, done that.

"Arrogance" starts earlier with some, but "Humility"
always eventually arrives.

Some take the hint, some don't. Life's too short to
worry much about it and I refuse to let their problem
alter my pulse rate. I think the best approach is to
politely, but bluntly, tell them in simple words of
two syllables or less that their attitude is
offensive, and to either alter it or just go away ...
their choice.

As to these bulletin boards, advice is worth what
you pay for it. It's my responsiblity to judge the
worthiness of any advice I receive, here or elsewhere.
People can accept my advice, or not. I don't really
care unless it affects my personal safety. Then I
can get pretty adamant.

And, as is frequently quoted at our airfield, "Opinions
are like a**-holes, every one has one." Free speech really
is the "American Way."
