RE: New version DP Extra with Moki 2.10
Thanks Tony for the input and for all the information you gave me on the cline regulator setup. It was very informative and helped me a lot. I had planned on using a 20X8 Zinger pro, but I think it will be a good idea to switch to a 22X6.
R Nick- Is your Dave Patrick the new version? Looks great on your avatar. Yes I have already put a cline regulator on it. I've run it on the ground and performed the tip test with the regulator on. I can't believe how much better it runs and sounds with the regulator. I had this engine in a 80" H9 cap 232. I flew it in this plane for 6 months without the cline. Then one cold day, I had to richen the high end quite a bit. The engine ran fine during normal flying, but just as I was getting ready to pull up into a hover it died and I lost my cap. The cap was one of the best 3D planes I have flown. I even think it is as good or better than my 31% AW edge in some respects. It was a very stable 3D plane and flew well with the MOKI. I liked that plane so much that I bought another one from my LHS. The Dave Patrick will have a lot to live up to, but from what I've heard and seen of this plane fly, I have high expectations. Looking forward to the maiden flight in 2-3 days.
