Default RE: 46 FX muffler

carbon fiber tuned pipes and alum pipes are very much different. alum retains heat, when gasses get hotter they expand and creates more pressure which bosts power, so it is hard to get a linear throttle curve and there is always going to be a boost effect somwhere in throttle curve. alum tuned pipes are also very sensitive to environmental changes requiring constant needle valve adjusting even between flights. CF pipes on the other hand stay very cool, you can almost hold on to the pipe while engine is running, gas temps stay fairly constant thereby giving a smooth power band. also they are very quiet - you do not get that tinggy alum sound. I have not adjusted my needle valve in over 2 years flying in summer and winter. this is not advertising, I do not profit from the sale of these pipes, I just feel like they are required equipment not optional. my cf pipe is the most important piece of equipment on my 3d plane. I could not get by without it.
