RE: Balsa USA Phaeton II
Finally I was able to test fly the plane yesterday morning, the conditions couldn't't be better, it need some trim to make it fly straight but after that it flew beautiful.
Just as a reference point to anyone interested the:
Hog Bipe
-more aerobatic.
-more difficult to take off and land.
-very nice flier.
-not the best ground handling
Phaeton II
-really gentle flier.
-easy to take of and land(almost do it by it self).
-it roll rate is very slow (not necessary a bad thing).
-very good ground handling.
-think of it as your biplane trainer.
I ask a friend to take some pictures of the plane, I will be posting them very soon. I must say it was a nice experience building this kit and a great sensation to see it fly for the first time and of course land with out a hitch.
