Default RE: Seagull Models <span class=

sorry to hear that wolf [:@] Glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.....and I'm also glad that I'm using 2 servos on my elevator!

Mine is in the shop now too..........motor quit on take off at about 40 feet up, at a 45 degree angle........thought I could get it back, so I turned around, dove down to pick up speed, went to level off and had nothing.....turns out that I had a 10-15 mph tail wind, so my airspeed wasn't sufficient to fly.....I was below the stall speed when factoring the tailwind.....I should have kept it into the wind and let it float into the woods, but it's hard telling yourself that when you think you can get it back on the runway.
It hit the asphalt at about a 40 degree angle.....the muffler took the brunt of the impact, and broke right off......the spinner is scraped up, but can be buffed, the cowl is a little scratched, the firewall and landing gear area is busted up pretty good, but definitely fixable......the plane hit VERY hard....I thought it would be sticks, so I was pretty happy. Should have it back in action in a couple of weeks.
