No there easy to fly but the one thing you have to do is double check everything, cg, throw direction(a must!), surface travel and always test the first few hand launches with a buddy doing the toss. The low wing has a natural tendency to dive on power-up, the high wing will climb. You need the hand on the sticks and not holding the plane in one hand and the radio in the other. Once you get the feel of recovery on launch, you can give it a try yourself. If you think that is hard try doing it with a 1/2a quickie plane, you have to be real fast on the sticks after the toss. But the good news is that once you master the hand toss on the plane and get bored you could go into the 1/2a planes and start having a blast doing the same thing but with more time and speed while on the sticks.
