RE: Its Here!! Double Vision
DV weight
Chips planes are no different than the ones we just shipped, the differences are the weights will very a little and there is NO WAY to accuratly predict the weight of the plane by weighing pieces. Chips hovers his plane with plenty extra power on a DA50 at 5500 feet alt. on a 90 degree day. I know as I saw it and videod
it last Saturday in Sierra Vista. I have been in this business for 14 years and have never understood peoples obsession with weighing parts, yes or course weight is a very important factor but it does little to predict an accurate all up weight. And then weigh a plane all up on 3 different scale with 3 different people holding it and I will show you 3 different weights.
Bottom line the planes weight is fine! Us light equipment where you can. Batteries, servos ect. Put the equipment where we say to. And you will have a great flying plane!
My opinion( for what it is worth is- time spent practicing is will make your plane fly better than time spent weighing and speculating.)
Build it, fly it, you will love it!
