Default RE: More Facets

[&o]No pictures of my 500 plumbing yet. I plan to mount the ECU battery on top of the sill plate (main tank cover) as far forward as the hatch will allow. The fuel pump will be strapped to the top of the battery. I plan to mount the ECU just aft of the battery, on the sill plate again. The solenoids will fit on either side of the battery.

The propane tank is jammed between the fuse side and the main tank just in front of former F4.

The receiver will be mounted on the side of the fuse in the compartment with the rudder servo. That will give me about as much separation from the fuel pump and ECU as possible.

Thanks to some advice Greg Moore gave me, I was able to wedge a 16 ounce Dubro tank in the compartment with the wing joiner. There is enough room in the compartment forward of the joiner to put a 14 ounce Dubro tank. That gives you 70 ounces of fuel without a header tank. If I can't find somewhere to shoehorn in a UAT I will use a paper filter pickup like the article on the JPO website. http://www.jetpilots.org

If you put both tanks on their sides you have room between them, on top of the joiner, for an air tank for the brakes.

If you check out the Facet 1200 Building Pictorial you will see some great pictures from lov2flyrc. He didn't use a RAM 500 but the pictures will give you a good idea of what I'm talking about.

PM me if you have any questions. I'm ahead of you on equipment installation but you're ahead of me on covering. (I hate to cover!!)
