your right, i have soldered literly hundreds of cells together, its not for the faint hearted. problem is cell balancing. the 340s are fine if assembled from new and are not shorted when soldering, as they come from the factory balanced within .03 of a volt. the 1500 on the other hand are miles out when they arive and it can take up to two hours to asemble a S/P pack. Eddy, dont listen to anyone unless they tel you to buy ONLY propper packs and charge them very carefully. you WILL burn your house down i promise

this advice is only aimed at the EDible, the rest of you are old and ugly enough to do it right.
