Default RE: House of Balsa 43" P-51 HELP

Here is the center section from a HOB T-6 wing prior to sheeting that I built last week. I think the wing construction is similar and it is ready for the leading edge sub strip. I think it was 5/16 that went on the front, then the sheeting. Run thick CA to the sup-strip and attach the balsa sheeting, use kicker if needed. Once the edge is set run glue along the rest of the ribs and spars where the sheeting will lay and press down (a straightedge helps here). After the glue has set use a long sanding T to smooth the front where the leading edge stock gets glued and then carve and sand to shape. Don't make the leading edge to sharp as it will cause the plane to "hunt".

Be careful not to confuse the 1/4" cap strip material with the 5/16" sub strip material. Sorry I don't have any more pictures but I got on a roll and built the whole thing in 1-1/2 days and forgot to keep taking pics.
