The local ambulance Service pulled up with a guy we were
told had fallen from a horse and had some type of head trauma.
Vanderbilt is the nearest Trauma Center 45 miles away in Nashville
as soon as I saw the Ambulance pull up I knew what was coming (We had'nt Called them)
I asked the Ambulance Driver if lifeflight was enroute he said yes about 4 minutes out.
it was really windy that day, he flew over the field checked our winsock direction
and setup a Landing into the wind, just like a plane would.
our Field is 1 of 12 LZ's for Life flight in Hickman County.
Hope we never need too but would come in handy if anyone was ever
hurt badly at the Field.
