OK - so what was he doing there?
Was he lost, mechanical problems or just wanted to visit your club?

Inquiring minds (like mine) want to know!

The local ambulance Service pulled up with a guy we were
told had fallen from a horse and had some type of head trauma.
Vanderbilt is the nearest Trauma Center 45 miles away in Nashville
as soon as I saw the Ambulance pull up I knew what was coming (We had'nt Called them)
I asked the Ambulance Driver if lifeflight was enroute he said yes about 4 minutes out.
it was really windy that day, he flew over the field checked our winsock direction
and setup a Landing into the wind, just like a plane would.
our Field is 1 of 12 LZ's for Life flight in Hickman County.
Hope we never need too but would come in handy if anyone was ever
hurt badly at the Field.

It can only be a good thing that Emergency Services knows the location of your field.

Now that's a club to belong to. Your very own "personnal" Helicopter ambulance And as skychaser said, they know where you guys are, for sure.

Did you tell them to even out the ruts they left in the runway?

no ruts left behind this time,
though a sheriff's deputy started to pull his car onto the runway
(he was new) and was told that they knew where to land and for him
to get his car off the field.

That's a nice looking BK. They are good aircraft for EMS, but I'm glad I don't have to work on them any more. Helicopters should allways land and take off into the wind.
