Cary C. right brother wrong movie (Armagedden ring a bell) Anyway DV flight report goes as follows. bolted the wing on fuel the plane started the engine, pointed her staright added power and took off in the air. Needed two clicks of up and two clicks of right,, along with two clicks of right rudder and she was flying straight. I used a MOKI 2.1 engine and the plane flew like a pattern plane. More deatails to follow.......
The plane flew incredible, and I am sure glad that I have the first flight jitters behind me. I thing that I did notice it that this plane does not slow down as well as I would like. My idle on my Moki was about 1800 and this idle still pulled the plane around quite effortlessly. I think that I need to add flaps to make it slow down some more. I tried a liilte 3ding but the engine right now does not have enough power to 3d. I think once the engine breaks in a little more it's going to be more fun. I am running a 20x10 menz prop. I may try a 22x6 and see what happens. Ohh some funny things that happened one the first flight. The purple covering on both top wings decided to leave the wing. The first (left wing) peeled off right after take, and the other (right wing) left about 5 minutes into the flight. All in all I think that this plane is going to be a great flying airplane for me. As a first experience with biplanes ( I am impressed) I am using 635 hitec on all surface besides the rudder which has 645mg hitec.
I finished the day with three flights and walked away feeling very releived that I put the plane together the right way
