RE: Its Here!! Double Vision
I flew my double vision today 3 flights. WOW well worth the wait. Took off smooth and then I saw something fall off! Landed and found one of the puple stripes on the bottom of the top wing had come off. Took off again and had a beautiful flight. The DA-50 ran flawlessly. Lots of power and smooth transition. Yes, it does it all. Even though it was a maiden flight with a new engine I started harrier rolls, blenders, flat spins, Harriers, torque rolls and knife edge loops. All done with ease. I passed the transmitter around next to Wayne McCosker, who has a double vision in process, And then to Chuck Shull another buddy in my club. The were both impressed at how well it handled the wind today. They both went through their bag of tricks while I patiently waited for my turn to fly it again. It took a little up trim and that was about it. The landings are almost comical as how slow you can get it. Of course it was windy here today, but still no problem. I thought it would be a handful on the ground due to the narrow track of the landing gear but I was wrong, It handled beautifully. I know this got a little long and it is a little too glowing but I'm rarely this impressed with a plane little lone an ARF!!!! I will post some pics tomorrow afternoon. CHIP, GREAT JOB!!!
