Hey guys, I recently spent a few days fighting with mine..exhibiting the EXACT same problems. First off, after close scrutiny, I found that the fuel system won't hold pressure very well, as the cap bleeds air. A Sullivan 6 oz slant tank fits right in where the other does. Secondly, after launching the boat, having it complete about 3/4 of a lap at a good pace then slowing down, while listening to the motor, it sounded like it wasn't coming up all the way on the pipe and revving up...at first I thought it was too rich and loading up, but as it turned out, it was indeed a lean condition..even though the motor didn't seem to be getting overly hot. I just kept coming out in 1/8 turn increments until it took off...I also wound up leaning the bottom end about a quarter turn.

It runs like a top now.....oh yeah...I also put an autobailer in the left rear sponson....water problem solved.
