if you find that slamming the throttle in the middle doesn't help (although it should) try adding some weight to the back of the car, like maybe put some small electronic accys onto the back of the rear shock tower, or adding small weights. Be sure to get hard springs up front so that it's not as bad when you land, and so that soft springs don't absorb part of the front of the jump. When you do that you will have the probability of slamming into a wall with no room to slow down (which is why my old old RC10B3 is in pieces now for 2 yrs...)
